This is my new prototype for an AI chat tool that provides daily advice to help you have a more positive day. Simply tell The Daily Lift what you’re thinking or feeling, and you’ll receive practical advice and easy steps you can take right away to add positive momentum to your day. The advice is rooted in evidence-based, empirical research from the positive psychology field. The research I’m citing is from the foundations of positive psychology class at CGU, taught by Dr. Jeanne Nakamura. Please feel free to experiment with The Daily Lift and let me know how it goes and if you have any suggestions. The Daily Lift is built on ChatGPT 5.2 using the GPT Create feature.
CGU is at the forefront of positive psychology scholarship. As a doctoral student in the PsyD program, I am developing research and tools to apply positive psychology theories to practical applications. My focus is on organizational psychology and developing interventions and techniques to help individuals, teams, and organizations improve their overall well-being. At CGU, we are actively engaged in the study and experimentation of AI tools.
ChatGPT and other tools have the potential to accelerate adoption and improve access to the vast amount of high-quality research available. That said, there is much work to be done to train the models with the rigor and scholarship required to produce quality recommendations and avoid AI-slop and hallucinations. I hope this prototype is a step in the right direction toward integrating the promise of AI with the scientifically validated theories of positive psychology.
